NEW BUSSINESS:

Clair Kerstetter led the group in coming up with ideas for the future.

All attending choose to keep the name of the youth group as the Mt Zion Young Followers.

All attending choose to change the meeting time to 6:00 PM every Monday night.

Movie nights are being planned for the First Sunday of each month. The movie nights are open to all persons. The movies being planed should interest both young and old. Members of the youth group are encouraged to invite their whole family and friends to movie night. The youth group invites all church members to attend and bring friends and family along. The movie night is being planned to be held in the Sunday school classrooms, so that snacks and drinks may be consumed while watching the movie. Popcorn is one of the requested snacks. Youth group will be returning on Monday night after the movie to discuss the movie and review scripture, which may be brought out, by the movie. First movie night is set for February 6th at 6:00 PM.

It was determined that at the next meeting on Monday January 17, 2005, at 6:00 p.m., the group will make posters to be displayed at school and other areas which will advertise the meeting dates and times along with the notification of movie night.

The group would like to plan nursing home visits.

The group thought they might plan a fast and possible camping activity in the future.

The youth group would like to make a time capsule to be opened in 25 years. This time capsule came as a result of speaking about the time capsule, which our church opened, for the hundred-year anniversary. Group would like to have church historian at one of their meeting to learn about the history of this church.
